Mistaya Canyon

We are on the Icefields Parkway!! Leaving Lake Louise and heading to Jasper is a famous, gorgeous, incredible stretch of nature with a road down the middle that everyone should have on their bucket list. One of our first stops was at a sign that said "Mistaya Canyon." There wasn't much information at the top of the trail to let you know what you were in for, which is good because if I knew how long and hard that hike was going to be, I wouldn't have done it and if I hadn't done it I would've missed out on an amazing sight. I'm not quite sure how to describe it and these pictures don't do it just...really!...The trail ends up at a fascinating compex of rock with water running through it. The angles were fascinating and the water seemed to weave in and out of the rock as well as rush right through it. There was a bridge right over the Mistaya River and so we saw the "potholes" in the rock from above as well as from both sides of the river.
