Jasper

We made it to Jasper. Good thing we're far enough north that the daylight is up for a really long time or we would've arrived in the dark and not seen this cute little town. I'm not sure why I don't have more photos of Jasper. We walked down this main street that parallels the train tracks (and we saw a Transcontinental Train in the station...ahh the train across Canada! ... another day/another trip). We picked out a steakhouse for dinner--Karouzo's. We could smell steak cooking somewhere when we drove into town and we all like our red beef so this seemed like a great night to partake. Happy Birthday, Rodney! After dinner, we stopped at Grandma's Place for ice cream. The nice gentleman there made sure that Rodney got an extra scoop for free for his birthday. We visited with a sweet, elder, Canadian woman and her daughter who were enjoying a little vacation time together. What a long, full, exciting, breathtaking, wonderful day.
