My flight arrived on time at 8:45a.m. Cathy picked me up and we went to her house where Steve met us. Then the three of us climbed into Steve's car full of instruments and band paraphernalia. We drove to The Fairfax, a retirement community for military personnel and their spouses, where Cathy and Steve's jazz trio, a subset of their band The Jefferson Street Strutters, had a gig. Who could ask for more? A Memorial Day picnic and concert on a beautiful day?!
