Next stop: Lake McDonald Lodge. Built in 1913, it's built in a Swiss chalet style on a stone foundation.
The chandeliers are like the ones that used to be in Prince of Wales Hotel and are based on a design by local Native Americans (I need to re-read the details on this).
We had lunch in the lounge and spent most of our time outside soaking up the beautiful weather and taking photos.
There's a fun mailbox, so nothing would do but to write postcards and mail them.
