8/9/11 An Evening in Glenwood Springs

After checking in to our hotel, we went to scope out downtown Glenwood Springs. Everything is in walking distance here. We walked for 2 blocks, then took this pedestrian bridge over the Colorado River.

Looking down from the pedestrian bridge at The Colorado.

Glenwood Springs Pool, the world's largest hot springs-fed pool. Yep. We went. It's cheaper at night and even cheaper for just the last hour of the night. That's when we went.

A different view of the Glenwood Springs Pool and the spa building that goes with it.

It's not a UMF beaver, but it might as well be. Who else would have a statue of a beaver. Behind the beaver is the cute miniature golf course (we did not do that . . . there wasn't enough time to do it all).

Back on the other side of the bridge, we had dinner at Rib City. The food was really delicious and our waitress was fabulous.

Sunset over Glenwood Springs as seen from our hotel room windows.
