8/19/08 Leaving Maine

Mom, Dad, Little Brother, Godchum, and Godnephew slept in the pop-up camper. Goddaughter, Godfriend, Godbuddy and I slept in the tent. Sometime during the night, it started to rain and it was raining when we got up this morning. It was gray and drizzly all morning as we ate our blueberry pancakes and packed our gear. There's not much that's worse than packing up your camping gear in the rain. Well, maybe setting up a tent in the rain is worse. But we got it done and were on the road to Massachusetts. It rained for the first part of the trip but by the time we stopped in New Hampshire for lunch at McDonald's the sun was out and the sky was blue. Since they ate a meal in New Hampshire, the Godfamily decided they could officially count New Hampshire on their list of states they've been to. This trip was also their first trip to Maine for all 8 of them.
