ME: 8/2/07 Julie gift #4

Trip odometer: 1335, around 2:30pm, at precisely the right mileage we opened the next gift which was Dr. Pepper lip balm. The back of the package carries the warning, "This is not a food product." Since Dr. Pepper is Marty's favorite beverage, and since she uses lip balm all the time, this is an hysterically appropriate gift.

Later, when we had cell service, we called Julie to thank her and to wish her Happy Birthday. How nice of her to give us presents on her birthday.

We kept a post-it note on the dashboard telling us what the next odometer reading should be for the next Julie gift. We put it right over the digital clock because the clock in this car works but the ability to change the time doesn't. Right now, you have to add 1 hour and 6 minutes to get the right time (Central time, add 2 hours and 6 minutes for Eastern time). This photo is supposed to show that the trip odometer and the number on the post-it are the same. You have a good imagination, don't you?
